All of the software below either defaults to Lite or Demo mode until licensed. The Lite Mode allows you to use the software for small projects. These archives have been compressed to minimize download time.

Schematics & Printed Circuits

This is a fully operational EDA design system which produces manufacturable outputs.

This bundle includes :

  • Basic Schematic Capture module
  • PCB-ST Layout module
  • Gerber Translator Module
  • Robust set of Library symbols and footprints
  • A users manual in PDF format.

The EDS software running in the LITE Mode has net, pin and board size limitations govened by how effectively you utilize the available memory allocated while in Lite mode.

 

SimPlus
Bundle

(OSX only)

This is a fully operational EDA design system which allows you to create and simulate circuits.

This bundle includes :

  • Advanced Schematic Capture module
  • 3-Spice Simulator module
  • SPICE models and a robust set of schematic library symbols
  • Users manuals in PDF format.
  • "QuickStart To Simulations" guide in PDF format

The Simplus software running in the LITE Mode is limited to simulating small and simple circuits with nets totalling less than approximately 22 nets over the entire project.

3SPICE

(OSX only)

Fully functional Circuit Simulator based on industry standard Berkeley SPICE3. It is the same simulator found in the SimPlus Bundle above.

Trailblazer


Demo Only
 This is a high performance multilayer (up to 16 layers) autorouting engine designed to tackle the very difficult designs of todays applications. A number of sample designs are included ranging from the simple to the complex allowing you to evaluate Trailblazer's performance. You can even feed it your own designs from either the Lite or Pro versions of the PCB-ST.

 This is a high performance dual layer (up to 2 signal) autorouting engine designed to tackle the difficult designs of todays world. A number of sample designs are included ranging from the very simple to the complex, allowing you to evaluate Trailblazer's performance. And yes you can even feed it your own designs from either the Lite or Pro versions of the PCB-ST.

 

 

EDUCATIONAL UTILIZATION

We encourage educators and students to download our EDS Lite version for use in the classroom. This is a fully featured & operational design tool set which includes an electronic manual.
  • The only significant restriction is the size of the project that can be undertaken using the McCAD EDS Lite bundle.
  • The best part is that it is FREE.
